Tom Sumner began his education in wildlife photography and writing at the age of 18. He studied at Sparsholt College achieving a Level 3 Extended Diploma at merit in Conservation and Wildlife Management. Tom went on to train at Falmouth University on the course; Marine and Natural History Photography. He hopes to graduate in the summer of 2019 at the age of 23.
Tom has lived in Hong Kong, Australia and the UK. Much of his growing or recent years were filled with the diagnosis of his mothers cancer, in which she passed away from in 2018. His work is influenced by these events and he strives to use it to help other young adults with the same pain.
